World mental health day!
"Be Kind to Your Mind." "Break the Silence, Break the Stigma

World Mental Health Day falls on October 10th each year, aiming to raise awareness about mental health issues, end the stigma of talking about it and promote efforts to support mental well-being around the world.
Established by the World Federation for Mental Health in 1992, the day encourages open conversations about mental health, reducing stigma, and advocating for better mental health services.
The theme changes annually to address different aspects of mental health & this year’s focus is on the importance of creating universal mental health support, making care accessible to everyone, regardless of location or socioeconomic status. It highlights the need for community support, inclusive practices, and proactive strategies for mental wellness <3
World Mental Health Day reminds us that mental health is an essential component of overall health and encourages us to look out for each other, seek help if needed, and practice self-care. It’s a time to unite globally, share stories, and promote mental health as a priority.
This has been one of our core goals & initiatives here at Flowstate, we focus on empowering people through community-based activities that nurture mental, emotional, and creative health.
The creative sessions encourage women to explore various artistic mediums in a supportive environment, promoting a sense of belonging and shared experience whilst the yoga creates mind body connection and confidence.
It was always my aim to give these experiences to those who might not have the financial ability to access it elsewhere!
For mental health day this year we hosted some informal creative taster sessions and did free henna for those accessing the services, opening up conversations about mental health <3
