We're officially halfway through our 6-week perinatal Yoga & Soundbath Course at May Logan Healthy Living Centre, and it's been such a privilege to share this journey with such a lovely group of expectant mums.
Each Wednesday, we've created a calm, welcoming space where women can slow down, breathe deeply and take time for themselves during a season of life that can often feel busy, exciting and overwhelming all at once.
Over the past three weeks we've explored grounding, pelvic mobility, breath for birth, gentle movement and deep relaxation through sound. More importantly, we've watched connections grow—not just between mums and their babies, but between the women in the room.
The Difference Between Arriving and Leaving
One of the most rewarding parts of facilitating these sessions has been witnessing the transformation that happens in just one hour.
Many women arrive feeling:
Tired
Achy
Busy-minded
Anxious about birth
Carrying the weight of work, family and everyday life
By the end of the session, the room feels completely different.
Participants often leave feeling:
Calmer
More relaxed
Less tense
More connected with their baby
More confident in their body's ability to give birth
Supported by other mums experiencing a similar journey
That hour becomes a chance to simply pause—to move, breathe and rest without expectation.
Why Antenatal Yoga Matters

Pregnancy isn't just about preparing your body for birth—it's about preparing your mind too.
Gentle movement can help ease common pregnancy discomforts, improve posture and mobility, and encourage confidence in your changing body.
Breathwork offers practical tools that can be carried into labour, while soundbath relaxation provides an opportunity to deeply rest and regulate the nervous system—something many of us don't experience enough in everyday life.
Perhaps most importantly, these sessions remind mums that they don't have to navigate pregnancy alone.
It's Never Too Late to Join
One question we're often asked is:
"Have I missed too much if I join now?"
Absolutely not.
Each class is designed as a complete standalone session while also contributing to the wider six-week journey.
You don't need to attend every week to benefit.
Whether you join for one session or several, you'll be warmly welcomed.
Our classes are suitable for all stages of pregnancy (with guidance from your healthcare provider if needed), and every movement can be adapted to suit your body, your energy levels and your individual needs.
No previous yoga experience is necessary.
We'll support you wherever you are in your pregnancy journey.
