About us
Enter the Flowstate
Flowstate CIC is a creative wellbeing organisation dedicated to supporting mental, emotional, and embodied health through trauma-informed movement, art, and cyclical awareness. In a fast-paced and often disconnected world, we create spaces where individuals can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and access the transformative power of creativity and somatic practice.

Flowstate delivers creative workshops, yoga sessions, sound healing experiences, and community programmes designed to empower participants and nurture resilience. Much of our work centres around supporting disadvantaged and socio-economically marginalised communities, making holistic wellbeing accessible and inclusive.

Flowstate delivers inclusive creative workshops, yoga sessions, sound healing experiences, and community wellbeing programmes that support mental health, build resilience, and reduce social isolation. We focus on engaging with individuals from low-income and marginalised communities who face barriers to accessing traditional wellbeing services.
By delivering accessible, community-based support that addresses inequalities in health and wellbeing, we enable individuals to improve their mental health, strengthen resilience, and experience a better quality of life.

Who We Support & Why It Matters
Flowstate works with individuals who often face barriers to accessing traditional wellbeing support.

This includes:
Women navigating stress, burnout, or life transitions
People from marginalised and underrepresented communities
Individuals in recovery from addiction
Survivors of abuse, trauma, and gender-based violence
Those experiencing social or economic disadvantage
Refugees & asylum seekers/ those in the asylum system

Our programmes are designed to be inclusive, accessible, and sensitive to the lived experiences of those we support, creating safe spaces where participants feel seen, respected, and supported.

Many of the individuals we work with face significant barriers to accessing wellbeing services, whether due to cost, stigma, cultural inaccessibility, or lack of provision within their communities.

At the same time, these groups are disproportionately affected by poor mental health, stress, and social isolation. Without accessible and appropriate support, these challenges can become long-term and deeply impactful.
Flowstate exists to reduce these inequalities by providing low-cost or free, community-based wellbeing support that meets people where they are, both physically and emotionally.

Our sessions support participants to:
Improve their mental wellbeing and emotional resilience
Feel more connected to themselves and others. Develop tools to manage stress, anxiety, and overwhelm
Access safe, non-judgemental spaces for self-expression and healing

By prioritising accessibility and inclusion, we help ensure that wellbeing support is not a luxury, but something everyone can access.

We believe that everyone deserves access to spaces that support healing, connection, and growth, regardless of their background or circumstances.

Our Founder
Founded and led by Abi, Flowstate is rooted in over 10 years of creative experience and 5 years of facilitation across community, corporate, and grassroots settings. With a Fine Art degree and a deep belief in the healing potential of expressive arts, Abi integrates creativity and movement as powerful tools for mental health, self-expression, and personal growth.

Abi is a certified 300-hour multi-style and yin yoga teacher and trained sound healer, specialising in somatic and embodiment-based practices. Her facilitation style blends yoga, sound, and creative exploration into immersive, accessible sessions that support nervous system regulation, emotional processing, and authentic self-expression.

Drawing from her background in fine art, cyclical living, and embodied practice, Abi offers unique experiences that encourage sustainable lifestyle shifts and deeper self-awareness. Trained by Sjanie Hugo Wurlitzer and Alexandra Pope, co-authors of Wild Power, she also integrates menstrual cycle awareness and cyclical living principles into her work — guiding participants to reconnect with their natural rhythms and inner wisdom.
We also deliver sessions with a team of dedicated trauma-informed volunteers & often collaborate with other artists, yoga teachers & facilitators to give varied & highly impactful sessions.

At its heart, Flowstate exists to remind people that creativity and movement are not luxuries, they are essential pathways to wellbeing, connection to self & community empowerment
