The labour of love ...

Things I love: teaching yoga & delivering creativity to communities who need it most! Things I hate: Battling with 6+ yoga mats, singing bowls & craft workshops & cycling across the city :p When we were funded I was able to allocate part of the budget to travel through either taxis or hiring other creatives & members of our team to drive me and my materials & help assist in facilitating our workshops. Since our last project initiative ended, it's been me and my two wheels and my mountains of stuff against the world! I've become a lone wolf & one woman band hiking me and my boxes of healing materials across the city on my noble steed (bicycle!) One of the things I didn't want to happen when our initial project funding ended was for flowstate to stop! I've managed to keep it going by picking up extra shifts & working with womens refuges within the city, offering free yoga, henna & creative crafts at their refuge centres for the women in their care through an outreach program, alongside maintaining connection with the communities I already cater to and work with (although on a lesser scale than before) The plus side is flowstate keeps going & we don't lose momentum! ... the downside is my little legs have to carry me & everything I need to over 6 locations in the city! We're hoping for our funding to be re-instated soon in which case I'll be able to travel further & wider than I am now, & we'll get back to being able to offer what we were before, AND to even more people in need! Aaaand hopefully with less of a risk to myself & others! <3 Here's a shot that made me laugh of me battling with my yoga mats after a refuge class, and a dog that came to visit in class
