This Mental Health Awareness Week ( May 12th to 18th) , we’re pausing to reflect, reconnect, and remember that mental health is just as important as physical health. At Flowstate CIC, we believe in holistic wellbeing where creativity, community, and conscious movement all play a role.
The pressures of modern life social media, economic uncertainty, disconnection have left many feeling overwhelmed and under supported. But you’re not alone. This week is a reminder that help is available, healing is possible, and community matters.
At Flowstate CIC, we focus on helping people access flow: the state of being fully present and creatively engaged. Through workshops, movement sessions, and expressive arts, we provide safe spaces where people can reconnect with themselves and each other.
Some of our previous workshops included:
-Personalised Tote Bag Workshop 👜

This workshop not only provides a platform for creativity but also encourages sosocial interactiion. You have the chance to meet like minded individuals who share a passion for crafting and design. You will leave with a beautiful hand crafted tote bag that is functional and also a reflection of your indivduality.
-Henna Art Creations ✍️

Henna art are characterised by their detail and intricate designs, often featuring floral pattersn, geometric shapes and symbolic imagery. The natural ingredients in henna can soothe the skin and provide relief from minor irritations, making it a popular choice during hot weather or after exposure to the sun.
-Park Yoga and Sound Healing 🧘♀️

Engaging in yoga in nature has many benefits such as enhancing mindfullness and relaxation.
it can reduce stress levels, improve mood and increase overall happiness. The vibrations produced in sound healing balance chakras, reduce anxiety and enhance emotional release.
-Painting/Creative workshop🎨

This workshop aims to foster creativity, enhance artistic skills and provide a supportive environment where you can express themselves through various panting techniques and mediums. We have many different creative workshops such as painting, drawing, jewlery making.
Here are a few ways you can support your mental wellbeing this week:
- Try a grounding technique like the 5-4-3-2-1 method.
- Move for 10 minutes - walk, dance, stretch, or shake.
- Do something expressive: sketch, write, sing it doesn’t have to be “good,” it just has to be yours.
- Reach out to someone. Connection is the antidote to isolation.
- Join us for a Flowstate session - check out our Instagram for updates on workshops/ events.
Mental Health Week reminds us that taking care of our minds is an act of courage and kindness. At Flowstate, we’re here to walk that path with you one breath, one beat, one moment at a time.
We’ll be running more creative workshops throughout May & June 2025 across Liverpool, including:
