In a world that constantly asks us to move faster, do more, and stay switched on, true rest can feel hard to come by. Our upcoming Yoga & Sound Bath Experience is a gentle invitation to pause, to step away from the noise of everyday life and into a space of deep relaxation, restoration, and calm.

Taking place on Wednesday 28th January, from 1–3pm at @WHISC, 1 Tithebarn Street, this extended session has been intentionally designed to support your nervous system, helping you slow down and reconnect with a sense of balance through sound and vibration.

What Is a Sound Bath?

A sound bath is a meditative experience where you are immersed in layers of sound created by therapeutic instruments such as singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and subtle tones. These sounds work on a sensory level, encouraging the brain to move into slower, more restorative states associated with deep rest.

There is nothing you need to do or achieve. You simply lie down or sit comfortably and allow the sounds to wash over you. Many people find this form of rest more accessible than traditional meditation, as the sound gently guides you into relaxation without effort.

The Benefits of Sound Healing

Sound baths can support both mental and physical well-being. Participants often report:

  • Reduced stress and anxiety

  • A calmer, quieter mind

  • Release of physical tension

  • Improved sleep and emotional clarity

  • A feeling of grounding and reset

Each experience is unique, you may feel deeply relaxed, emotionally released, energised, or simply peaceful. Whatever arises, you are held in a safe and supportive space.

What to Expect From This Session

This two-hour gentle yoga flow leading into sound bath allows time for your body and mind to truly settle, moving beyond surface-level relaxation into deeper rest. You’ll be gently guided into the experience through movement & breath, being followed by an extended sound immersion that supports deep stillness.

The atmosphere will be calm, welcoming, and unhurried. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and bringing anything that helps you feel cosy, such as a blanket, pillow, or eye mask.

This session is suitable for complete beginners as well as those familiar with yoga & sound baths — everyone is welcome.

A Midweek Gift to Yourself

Pausing

in the middle of the week can have a powerful impact. Instead of pushing through tiredness or overwhelm, this sound bath offers a chance to reset, recharge, and return to the rest of your week feeling more grounded and supported.
