There’s something undeniably special about practising yoga on water—especially aboard Liverpool’s iconic Daffodil boat. Last Thursday, we hosted a deeply restorative Yoga & Mini Sound Bath Healing session, bringing together movement, stillness, and sound in one beautifully immersive experience.
Moored along the historic docks, the Daffodil offered the perfect sanctuary away from the noise of the city. Surrounded by gentle waves, soft natural light, and the calm energy of the water, guests settled into a peaceful space designed for grounding and renewal.

A Flow Designed for Connection & Release
The session began with a gentle, breath-led yoga flow suitable for all levels. Participants were encouraged to move at their own pace, allowing the body to open, release tension, and reconnect with the present moment. Slow stretches, mindful transitions, and grounding postures helped everyone arrive fully in their bodies.
The Healing Power of Sound
After the yoga practice, guests were invited to settle into their mats and blankets for a mini sound bath, a meditative experience using crystal bowls, chimes, and gentle vibrational frequencies.
Sound healing works by calming the nervous system, guiding the mind into a state of deep rest, and helping release stored emotional or energetic tension. The tones used during the session are known to support relaxation, improve sleep, and reduce stress.
Why Yoga & Sound Healing Work So Beautifully Together
• Reduces stress & anxiety: Yoga relaxes the physical body, while sound healing settles the mind, making it easier to enter a meditative state.
• Improves focus & clarity: Breathwork combined with vibrational frequencies helps quiet mental chatter and enhance presence.
• Enhances emotional well-being: Both practices help release tension stored in the body, promoting a sense of relief and emotional ease.
• Supports full-body healing: The physical movement of yoga improves flexibility, circulation, and mobility, while sound healing promotes energetic alignment and inner harmony.

A Truly Memorable Floating Wellness Experience
As the session came to an end, participants left the Daffodil with soft smiles, relaxed shoulders, and a renewed sense of peace. Many described the experience as “transformative”, “beautiful”, and “just what I needed”.
Events like these remind us how powerful mindful movement and sound can be, especially when shared
in a unique and serene environment like Liverpool’s beloved Daffodil boat.
