Workshop: Tea Light Jar Painting

🌟 Yesterday, we held a wonderful tea light jar painting workshop! 🕯️✨ Creativity plays a vital role in enhancing mental well-being.

Here’s why:

Expressive Outlet: Creative activities like painting allow individuals to express their emotions and thoughts constructively, fostering emotional release and self-understanding. In our workshop, participants used their tea light jars as canvases to express their emotions, thoughts, and experiences. This kind of expression is crucial for emotional release and self-understanding. It allows individuals to articulate feelings that might be hard to express in words, fostering a deeper connection with their inner selves.

Stress Reduction: Immersing in creative tasks helps reduce stress by promoting a calming flow state, where worries fade. Engaging in creative tasks is a powerful way to reduce stress. This focused attention helps alleviate stress by diverting the mind from everyday worries, promoting a sense of calm and relaxation.

Mindfulness and Presence: Engaging in creative endeavours encourages focus on the present moment, helping participants stay mindful and centred.

Boosts Mood and Happiness: Creating art can trigger the release of dopamine, the 'feel-good' hormone, boosting mood and overall happiness. Painting can trigger the release of dopamine, a neurotransmitter associated with pleasure and reward. Many participants left the workshop with smiles on their faces and a sense of accomplishment, highlighting the joy that creative activities can bring.

Enhances Problem-Solving Skills: Creativity involves thinking outside the box, enhancing our ability to tackle challenges with innovative solutions.
